A wraparound tray packer (or loader) wraps and seals a shallow-walled fibreboard or cartonboard tray formed from a die-cut flat blank around a group of products. Tray packers are frequently linked to a downstream shrink-wrapping unit. The illustrated machine operates with continuous motion. Machines operating with intermittent motion are used for lower output rates.
